Puppat

This project has the body of a puppy, but the head of a cat. Thus, I call it a "puppat". I made this by first cropping around the cat's face. Then I copied and pasted it onto the picture of the puppy. I moved the picture of the cat's head around until I got it in the perfect position. That is how made my creation, Puppat.

Desert

I used the text tool on Gimp to type the word "desert" into a new image window. From the pattern fill list, I chose a pattern that looked like the ground of a desert. I then colored the word with that pattern by using the Bucket Fill tool. After that, I was finished with my project.

Experimenting with Filters

I wanted to understand more about filters. So I opened a picture of little boy's face on Gimp, cropped around it, and took its dimensions. Next, I multiplied its dimensions by three (because I wanted the project to be three heads by three heads), opened a "Create a New Image" window from the Files menu, and entered the results of my multiplication. I then opened a grid to help me align my project. After that, I copied the original picture onto the window with the grid. I then made a new layer to copy the next head. I did this continually until the heads added up to nine heads. Then, I clicked I on each layer and chose a different filter from the Filter menu for each one. As a result, I got a pretty cool looking project.

Fuzzy

I started making this by using the text tool to type the word "fuzzy". I then went to the Background & Foreground window and chose the gray color. I used the Bucket Fill tool to fill in the word with the color I picked. I then went to the Filters menu, clicked on Blur, and chose the Blur, Motion Blur, and Pixelize filters to make the word actually appear fuzzy.

Abstract Art

I made this by first using the paintbrush tool on Gimp and making the zig-zagged lines. I then used the ellipse tool to make the circles in the middle. Lastly, I used the Bucket Fill tool to fill in the circles and spaces between the lines as I chose the colors from the Background & Foreground window.

Bubble

To make this, I opened up a new image on Gimp. Next I used the text tool to type in the word "bubble". After that, I chose a pattern from the Pattern Dialog. I used the Bucket Fill tool to color the word. I then went to the Filters menu, clicked on Distorts, and clicked on Curve Bend. I messed around until I got the curve that made the word look like an actual bubble. When I did that, I was finished.

Ghost Hoax

To make this hoax, I created a duplicate layer of the original ghost image using the program "Gimp". Afterwards I cropped that picture and erased all the excess parts of it. I then copied the edited picture of the ghost on to the picture of the passageway. I used the Gaussian effect filter on the ghost to make it look blurry and more "ghost-looking". In the end, I got my hoax.

Skyscraper

Like my other projects, I used the program "Gimp" to create this. I took a picture of a real building and turned it into a drawing. First, I outlined the building and its windows using the paintbrush. Next I used it to color the windows. Then I used the Bucket tool to color the whole building in red. Finally, I used two different tiles to make the sky and the ground.

Lion in New York City

I created this project, "Lion in New York City", by first cropping and erasing everything around the lion. Next, I cropped the New York City picture into a much smaller size. Then I copied and pasted the lion onto the New York City cropped photograph. I tried to make it look like it was walking in the city like we humans do. I also wanted people to have to take a double take when they look at the final picture. This was a fun project to do.

Cowboy

I call this project "Cowboy". I cropped and erased everything around the man's head. Next, I copied and pasted the head onto the picture of the bull. I moved the head around until I couldn't see the real bullfighter's head anymore. When I had that done, my whole project was done.
